The Whiskey-3 Gen 7 Pro Body/Forend:
The forend and backbone are a one piece monolithic construction milled from a single billet for maximum stiffness and while maintaining light weight.
Integrated ARCA Rail compatible with KRG Δ-Lug and R-Lock.
M-Lok slot positions at the 3, 6, & 9 o’clock. Ships with one M-Lok QD mount.
Large polymer mag well surround can be adjusted fore & aft for better mag fitment.
Includes mounting points for our Two Round Quiver on either side of the magwell.
Utilizes radius bedding, which is CNC’d into aluminum backbone for consistent contact between action and chassis.
Tikka T3 inlets include an integrated hardened stainless steel recoil lug.
Rem 700 version can accommodate most large aftermarket recoil lugs like the Badger Ordnance lug without any or with only slight modification.
Designed for 5 or 10 round AICS magazines (with or without front spacer plate in T3, with spacer plate only in Rem 700 unless you have a modified action); Rem 700 LA uses 3.850″ length AICS pattern magazines or 3.715″ length mags with the included magwell spacer.
Accepts barrel contours up to 1.25″ straight cylinder, however the clearance will be minimal.
Trigger Guard/Mag catch:
Trigger guard assembly can be adjusted fore & aft for better mag fitment.
Rem 700 version will accept most aftermarket triggers though some may require modifications to the trigger or chassis.
Mag catch is our low profile version which reduces snags while still providing excellent ergonomics and control.
Folding Mechanism (not applicable for fixed stock):
Hinge mechanism is user configurable for left or right side folding.
Main latch uses proven tapered lever style lockup.
Secondary latch locks buttstock in folded position.
Spring loaded plungers lock automatically.
Tapered design of primary latch allows tight lockup through wear of the system.
Latch components made of hardened stainless steel and nitrided high strength chromoly steel.
Cheekpiece:
Infinitely adjustable within range (1” travel).
Cheekpiece thumbscrew can be swapped to the left or right side.
Includes a simple feature to make the cheekpiece return to the exact height you set it.
Cheekpiece can be moved forward and backward as well as side to side with several mounting positions.
Cheekpiece made of polymer to not transmit heat to or away from your face.
Length of Pull:
Adjustable in ¼” increments with 1 3/4” of adjustment range.
LOP range varies slightly between versions but is roughly 13.3” to 15”.
Uses cam lock and thumbscrew to ensure a solid fit.
Buttstock:
CNC milled from billet aluminum.
Entire buttstock assembly can be mounted to KRG chassis X-ray, Bravo, 180-Xray for CZ455, and also Sako TRG-22/42 rifle.
Buttpad:
Moves vertically to set positions within range.
Tool-less adjustable.
Buttpad is Remington 700 pattern so user can install aftermarket pre-fit pads.
Buttpad can tilt 15 degrees to each side (as if looking directly from the rear down the bore).
Mounting features for slings, monopods, etc:
Buttstock has QD sling cup on each side and provisions for other mounting options.
Buttstock includes bag rider which can be replaced with included picatinny rail.
Forend has M-Lok mounting positions at 3,6, & 9.
Optional Accessories:
Large selection of accessories from NV Caps to Weight Kits.
ALL STOCKS COME WITH ONE MOE L2 RAIL.
Materials/Finishes:
Most aluminum parts are hard anodized (Type III).
All fasteners are stainless steel with black oxide coating.
Steel parts are salt bath nitrided or stainless steel.
Grip panels are injection molded reinforced polymer.
Weight:
Fixed version is ~ 3.85 lbs w/o magazine.
Folding version is ~ 4.1 lbs w/0 magazine.
Color:
Black
Changes for Gen 2:
Threaded mounting holes in forend in slightly different position, some are positioned to use the Magpul MOE L2 picatinny rail.
Trigger guard held on by two screws now instead of one screw and a tab.
No holes drilled in barrel channel on Gen II (vent holes).
Grip panels are injection molded reinforced polymer instead of cast polyurethane.
Cheek piece is wider, taller, and more comfortable, and also injection molded.
Bag rider/Butthook is injection molded and included with chassis instead of being optional accessory.
Set screw has been added to top of buttstock to lock down LOP system to eliminate any play.
Bottom of buttstock has been modified to accept Magpul MOE L3 rail instead of L1 rail for more mounting positions, also there are two additional M5 threaded mounting points on the buttstock for more mounting options.
Changes for Gen 3:
Will accept either our small grip panel option or our regular grip panels readily, whereas the Gen II stocks will require replacement of two metal components to accept the small grip panels.
Fixed stocks can no longer be upgraded to a folding stock after they are purchased.
Stocks which use a .308 sized AICS magazine now have a wider trigger guard which facilitates magazine insertion and the trigger guard has a larger opening for the trigger which means some aftermarket triggers will drop in with no modifications to the chassis.
Stocks have an alternate position for the QD mount point in the buttstock as well as some new mounting positions for other types of sling mounts.
Stocks have new forend mounting points that allow MOE rails and our flush mount QD sling plate to be mounted, and they retain the two hole NV mount of the Gen II.(These were included on later Rem 700 gen 2 stocks).
Length of pull adjustment levers moved to right side to remove possible interference with sling.
Access hole for front action screw is enlarged to allow easier access with a torque wrench (this also means the front action screw is no longer captured).
Weight for the fixed stock has dropped about 5oz to 4lb 10oz for Rem 700 version..
Forends have grooves to keep Harris bipods from twisting.
Front ends have mounting holes specifically meant for solid mounting of our new spigot mount.
Cost has increased slightly to $919 fixed $1289 folding.
Some other changes like slightly revised buttstock design.
Changes for Gen 4:
Additional mount point on side of forend to fit our sling loop (HK style loop)/QD mount.
Five main components of fixed buttstock consolidated into single part.
Single LOP cam with 180 degree rotation to locked position.
Moved lower spar leg forward on buttstock to avoid it hitting non-trigger hand during recoil.
Enlarged thumbshelf and the left side thumbshelf can now be used on the folding chassis.
Added QD mount point at hinge in folding chassis to sling when folded.
Simplified hinge mechanism in folding chassis.
Added clearance for more aftermarket triggers in Rem 700 chassis versions.
Weight has been decreased by several ounces on both folding and fixed.
Slight cost increase on both configurations to $939 fixed, $1299 folding.
Additional minor changes.
