Shipping
1. Firearm Shipping
- Trailhead Precision does not ship firearms directly to customers. All firearms must be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.
- Customers must provide a valid FFL before an order can be processed and shipped.
- If an FFL refuses a transfer, the customer must provide an alternative FFL prior to shipment. Failure to do so will result in the order being cancelled.
2. Shipping Locations & Restrictions
- We ship nationwide within the United States. International shipping is not available.
- Shipping to US addresses only.
- State Restrictions: Due to state and local laws, we do not ship “assault rifles” to:
- California
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- District of Columbia
- Hawaii (assault pistols only)
- Illinois
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- New Jersey
- New York
- Note: Customers in Minnesota and Virginia are responsible for complying with any local regulations on “assault weapons.”
- Trailhead Precision will not modify firearms to comply with state or local laws.
- Customer Responsibility: It is the buyer’s responsibility to know and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding firearms and related items.
- We do not ship to P.O. Boxes
3. Shipping Methods
- Flat-rate and free shipping orders are shipped via UPS Ground or USPS at Trailhead Precision’s discretion.
- Pistols, handguns, and revolvers are shipped Next Day Air in compliance with carrier regulations.
- Ammunition ships via ground shipping with Adult Signature Required.
- Tracking information will be provided once the order has shipped.
4. Age Verification
- All purchases of firearms, ammunition, or age-restricted items require the customer to certify they are of legal purchasing age at checkout.
Returns
1. Firearms & Ammunition
- All sales of firearms and ammunition are final. Returns are not accepted for these items.
2. Other Merchandise
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase for non-firearm, non-ammunition items.
- To initiate a return, customers must contact us for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) or visit the store in person.
- Returned items must be in “as new” condition, which includes:
- All original packaging
- Manuals
- Included accessories
- Items not returned in “as new” condition are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable. If the item was shipped via a free shipping method, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
- Refunds will be issued via the original payment method within 14 days. Exchanges are welcomed.
3. Return Shipping Responsibility
- Customers are responsible for return shipping unless:
- The return is due to a product defect, or
- Trailhead Precision is at fault (e.g., incorrect item sent)
LOST OR DAMAGED SHIPMENTS
If your order is lost or arrives damaged, please notify us within 5 business days of the estimated delivery date. We will file a claim with the shipping carrier and assist in resolving the issue. Refunds or replacements will be issued only after carrier confirmation. Please retain packaging for inspection when reporting damage.
ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours, or before the order has begun processing for shipping. Once an order is in transit or has shipped, it cannot be cancelled.
