Engineered for performance, the MDT 308/6.5 Creedmoor Metal AICS Magazine is crafted from high-strength steel, then nitrided and coated inside and out with Cerakote Elite. This combination delivers superior durability, enhanced corrosion resistance, and lower friction—ensuring reliable performance in any environment.

Moreover, MDT’s innovative Double Stack to Single Feed (DSSF) transition design significantly reduces the magazine’s overall height. Consequently, it’s about ¾” shorter than standard AICS 12-round magazines. This shorter profile allows for faster, smoother magazine changes, especially in prone shooting positions.

MDT 308/6.5 Creedmoor Metal AICS Magazine BINDER PLATE OPTIONS

With Front Binder Plate
Magazines that include a front binder plate work seamlessly with all rifles using AICS-pattern bottom metal or chassis systems. The binder plate positions cartridges correctly and guides them smoothly past the feed ramp. These models support cartridges up to a maximum COAL of 2.870″.

Without Front Binder Plate
Magazines without a binder plate accommodate cartridges up to a 2.960″ COAL. While they remain compatible with all AICS-pattern bottom metal and chassis systems, most common actions—such as the Remington 700 or Savage 10/11—will require receiver modifications. Specifically, the bottom of the feed ramp may need to be notched to avoid bullet tip hang-ups during feeding.
